Liz and Katie are creative souls who found their calling in the world of jewelry design. Both graduates of the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, they earned their BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. Their education reinforced a passion for history and antique jewelry. Despite graduating five years apart, chance brought them together in 2014 when they embarked on a collaborative journey in the bridal jewelry industry.

Amidst a period of grief and mourning following the loss of their grandparents, Liz and Katie were inspired to create jewelry that honored their loved ones. This led to the creation of their first mourning rings. Compelled to share their designs with others, Tempus Metals was born, offering a modern reinterpretation of traditional Victorian-era mourning jewelry.

On the weekends, Liz and Katie can be found browsing the shelves of their local bookstore, purchasing plants behind their spouses' backs, and drinking copious amounts of black tea.
