On a historical note, Queen Victoria's engagement ring featured a gold serpent wrapped around her finger. Rich in symbolism, it was designed by Prince Albert and reflected the romantic sentimentality of the Victorian era. The snake was an unusual but meaningful choice, as serpents were associated with eternal love and wisdom during the 19th century.
